CMS connection

This is where you connect Blost to your website, so finished articles go there. Where to find it: Settings → CMS connection.

Platform
Blost hosting, WordPress or UNAS.
Tip: If your site is custom built, Blost hosting is the simplest.

Access details
WordPress: site URL, username, Application password. UNAS: Webshop URL, API key.
Tip: You can create the WordPress Application password in the WordPress admin: Users → Profile → Application Passwords.

Test connection
Shows whether the connection works.
Tip: Always try it after saving.

Disconnect
Ends the connection with your website.
Tip: After you disconnect, articles are not published to your site.
Common mistakes
  • The connection test fails: check the site URL and the password.

Glossary

Draft: finished article, waiting for your approval.
Scheduled: finished article, goes out on the chosen day.
Planned: only a title and keyword, not written yet.
Published: live on your website.
